DRAFT PLANS OF MANAGEMENT

There has been a spate of new Draft Plans released recently by NPWS. Many of these restrict access to horse riders and some, particularly the Nature Reserves, prohibit horse riding altogether. The Plans are listed below.

As you will see from the closing dates for submissions, responses to some of these Plans are needed urgently.

If you have knowledge of any of the areas, you believe they are important to horse riders and you are concerned at the unjustifiable restrictions please make the effort to send a submission to the appropriate NPWS office. Don’t be put off if you haven’t done a submission before. Submissions don’t have to be major documents. You can say as little or as much as you like depending on how many issues there are.
